About the teacher

Jason Newton is the founder and cartographer of Map of the Month/Maps for the Classroom. He has taught map-making and geography workshops in New England schools for over 30 years. His video workshops are like having Jason in your classroom, taking your students through the activities in a helpful supportive way! Jason says, “Our maps help kids with geography, reading, pencil-to-paper skills, neatness, and research. They can also aid in developing a better attention span for your students, as they get absorbed in the fun activities!”
